getting to know maddy and mike over the phone was our only option since she was planning a destination wedding on beaver island, they live in chicago. their engagement session request was a for a winery. a winery in grand rapids? I really should be more in the loop, then had a friend recommend robinette’s! a bit chilly, and before the apple blossoms bloomed, it could not have been a more perfect morning. our session was not complete till these two, who take annual trips to napa valley, were able to experience robinette’s finest. me, I opted for a non-brand (they aren’t selling it anymore) chocolate wine. yum! can’t wait to show off their wedding from last weekend!
three.years.old! when you look into those baby blues you just know that miss kendall is fun, sassy, independent, a little crazy, adventurous, and will forever be trouble. she gets her beauty and charm from her mom and the, :lifts eyebrow: fun, from her dad. don’t ask kendall for a kiss unless you expect to get licked. her smile will make you melt. she will do exactly what you tell her not to do with enthusiasm. she’ll make a mad face when requested, then crack her self up with her tongue hanging out. kendall is kinda amazing just like her parents.

from boarding a six passenger puddle jumper saturday, to dirt roads and a beautiful little island made of dust, to the amazingness of whiskey point, wine from napa valley, cake from south carolina, a bestman’s toast in song about calculations, sparklers (and fireworks…in the hands of those entertaining napa valley’s finest wine), wonderful families, the lodge that surprised jodi and I with our own rooms when they were originally booked solid, and a little wind allowing our puddle jumper sunday morning a bit of turbulence (jodi screech and clung the the ceiling) for my entertainment.maddy and mike, congratulations and thank you for such a sweet island adventure!
erin and alex took us over to the DET saturday. and what a perfect day it was! congrats you two!
shhhhh… don’t tell anyone, but I think jeff was just a little happy on his wedding day.
and for good reason, these two + their fabulous wedding party are pretty fantastic!
