curtain call | Dan & Lisa

To sum up Saturday in one word, it would be AMAZING. Last summer I started tossing around the words “curtain call.” I’m not looking to ever trash a wedding dress (unless of course you are!), so curtain call was the best description. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to put their dress back on just once more?! November is when I made the call to Jessica with Stella Event Design to see if she would hop on board (I require organizational assistance + Jessica’s got connections!). Justin and I were on our way back to Grand Rapids from St. Joseph and the ideas were flowing. Bring on another photographer? Oh yeah! Welcome Ben Pancoast! I drove down to St. Joseph in January, blizzard conditions (highways were closed!), to eat an omelet and drink coffee. Being locals, these two only added to my excitement. We then added Erica Henninger from Salon 1341 in Stevensville on hair, Kim of AllStar Productions, Inc. to cover videography, and David from Veranda at the Whitcomb provided us with a lovely room to use as “home base.” Now to find a bride and groom…
Dan and Lisa were married on April 25, 2009…yep, just one week before our shoot! Their day was a little wet, they had no idea really what they were signing up for…
